Political analysts are expecting key changes in the political scenario of Sindh
due to the growing popularity of PTI and the MQM’s political turmoil.
PPP is the largest party in Sindh from decades. It also won 91 provincial
assembly seats in 2013 provincial elections. However, MQM Pakistan got the
second position and secured 51 seats.
PPP was easily able to create a government in Sindh for the ninth occasion.
It would be an interesting situation in provincial
elections 2018 as MQM is divided into different factions. Pak
Sarzameen Party (PSP), MQM-PIB, MQM-Bahadurabad is now the different factions
of MQM. In addition, PTI is also looking to gain seats from Sindh. Election Result
2018 for Sindh constituencies will be of huge significance.
Punjab provincial elections 2018 are of huge significance as it covers major constituencies
of National Assembly.
In 2013 elections, there was a significant change came in Punjab’s politics,
when PTI appeared on the political map of Punjab as a strong contender.
However, PML-Q and PPP significantly lost their vote bank in 2013 elections
and their seats were reduced to 8 each from 79 and 106 seats respectively.
PML-N came out as the leading party and won 313 seats of Punjab Assembly. However,
PTI came on second position and got 30 seats in the provincial assembly.
Currently, Nawaz Sharif is disqualified but PML-N is still gaining support from
the people in the province. On the others side, PML-N’s elected members from Southern
Punjab joined PTI. Political analysts are expecting a tough competition between
PML-N and PTI in the Southern Punjab. Many candidates from PML (N) have already
joined PTI, while some of the candidate’s nomination papers are being rejected by
ECP. Fierce election campaigns are being carried out, and all competing parties
are having war of words. Election Result 2018 will be of huge significance
in all constituencies of Punjab.
Baluchistan is the largest province of Pakistan by area but it has the lowest provincial
assembly seats. Political parties usually made the coalition government in
Baluchistan as they normally fail to win the majority of seats. It is expected that
the Baluchistan Provincial Election 2018 result will also enforce political parties
to make the coalition government.
In 2013, PML-N, National Party, and Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party
(PkMAP) formed a coalition government. Abdul Malik Baloch from the National Party
became the CM Baluchistan and served till 2015. However, PML-N’s Sanaulah Khan Zehri
replaced him in 2015.
A tough competition is expected among PML-N, NP, PkMAP, PML-Q, and JUI-F in The
Baluchistan Provincial Election 2018.
KPK Provincial election 2018 will reveal the KPK’s public opinion about the previous
government of PTI. In 2013, PTI came out as the leading political party in
KPK and ruled the province for the first time in its history. They won 48 KPK assembly
seat and formed the coalition government with Jamaat-e-Islami and Qaumi
Watan Party.
PTI end the coalition with Qaumi Watan Party in 2016. In addition, Jamaat-e-Islami
also left the coalition few days before the end of government’s tenure.
KPK have elected different political parties in different elections. MMA,
ANP, and PTI are emerged as leading parties in the 2002, 2008, and 2013 elections
respectively. However, it is difficult to tell the Election Result 2018
for KPK. PTI is able to grab a huge vote bank since 2013 elections, with their impressive
provincial government.
